The Interior Design Journal.

EVELYN KASPAR presents her favourite projects in the journal THE NEW COOL. The publication is not only a printed documentation of her collaborations – it also gives a very personal impression of Evelyn's interior and exterior design style.

VILLA SONNENBERG

The first issue of the journal shows a very private view of the Swiss country house of the interior designer.

“The best way to understand my style is to get to know me and the way I live with my family,” says Evelyn, The cobbler wearing the worst shoes is not her cup of tea. She likes to have the world she is living in as beautiful and liveable as possible. As a designer and as a human being.

She translates this philosophy of life into her interior projects. For Evelyn Kaspar, a house is not just a house. Every single home is different, like the people who live in it.

Diversity is not confined to society and the media. It is also at the heart of a well-designed house. The interior and exterior of VILLA SONNENBERG are designed in absolute harmony. The interior spaces have been extended to the outside, creating a balanced overall picture.

CHALET HAAS

The newly built CHALET HAAS featured in this issue is located in the rural area of the Kitzbuehel Alps and is a surprisingly modern and elegant interpretation of the traditional chalet style.

The cosy yet representative chalet stands on the edge of a nature reserve with a river and woods. It is the home of the young Haas family, who let Evelyn create a breathtaking retreat as their very personal home.

Evelyn Kaspar not only shows her unmistakable signature style in this project, but also manages to convey the feeling of an alpine landscape without falling into folkloristic clichés. This property is a great entertaining place to spend time with family and friends, but it can also be a very private cocoon to recharge your batteries.
