The Evelyn Kaspar Signature Style
In this portfolio you can discover various campaigns, projects and interiors.
VIVA ITALIA!
How can you breathe new life into a midcentury villa on Lake Como without it losing its charm? With professional expertise on the one hand and a sense of style that takes account of the local conditions on the other. The Villa delle Palme is once again a perfect example of how Evelyn transforms a house and its outdoor space into an extraordinary home. Here a prepeek of THE NEW COOL 3 shooting:
The third issue of THE NEW COOL is a very special affair of the heart for Evelyn Kaspar - the upcoming journal shows the house in which the interior designer lives with her family.
THE POWER OF NATURAL MATERIALS
Evelyn loves using vigorous materials. Whether marble, rattan or natural stone – she loves working with these materials indoors or outdoors. Long-lasting valuable materials that are also sustainable in the most original sense.
The king-size marble slabs were used in the main bathroom of the Villa delle Palme, the rattan laundry basket in a dressing room. The natural stone was excavated during the extension of the house and integrated into a patio area.
INDOOR-OUTDOOR DESIGN
Planning a garden that extends the feeling of the interior design to the exterior is the icing on the cake when designing a home. Evelyn's many years of experience, which she gained inter alia in Japan, also enable her to design phenomenal outdoor areas and gardens.
The greening of an extremely difficult hillside plot on Lake Como, the creation of a breathtaking view from the living room of Villa Sonnenberg in Switzerland or the inviting arrangement at the edge of a pool - Evelyn's sense of proportion and her expertise in planting complement her interior design.
ARTS AND CRAFTS
We spend a third of our lives in bed. Doesn't it make sense to make our sleeping space as beautiful and individual as possible? The beds designed by Evelyn are fitted with handmade Colombian Ojitos or pleated bedheads made of wild silk specially manufactured in southern Germany.
MEDITERRANEAN SPIRIT
Evelyn disproves the cliché that tiles create a cold atmosphere with her tiled rooms. Whether in the bathrooms, the steam bath or the kitchen: the stoneware tiles, which are handmade in a traditional manufactory in Istanbul, radiate a warm atmosphere. High-quality brass fittings and shelves, as well as copper cookware, are the perfect companions for ceramics.
HIDE IT
We all know the struggle with storage space in flats and houses. How can you avoid filling up all the flat spaces with wardrobes? Fitted closets are a good solution. Especially if they are covered with elegant surfaces such as cork, grasscloth wallpaper or valuable fabrics, as is the case with Evelyn's interiors.
THE SAHARA CAMPAIGN
Evelyn travelled to the African desert with photographer Stefan Alfons to create the campaign for her home textiles collection YALLA YALLA BY EVELYN KASPAR.
A GRAND HOUSE IN ZURICH
The challenge of this redesign was to preserve the spirit of a beautiful old building at Lake Zurich and breathe new life into it.
Hardly anything more beautiful than magnificent lamps that bathe the house in warm light and emphasise the old building charm of the rooms. The chandeliers in the salon and hallway are by Barovier & Toso, Murano/Venice.
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS
The kitchen is the heart of every home. Evelyn Kaspar not only advises on the furnishing of the kitchen, but also on its equipment. Her work as an interior designer continues where others often stop: with the details that make you happy every day.
BEDTIME
A bedroom should be more than just a room to sleep in: a place where you can relax and find peace in beautiful surroundings - like in these rooms that Evelyn has furnished.
BRING ART HOME
Art is more than just decoration for walls and rooms - it brings culture and zeitgeist into the home.
Evelyn frequently collaborates with young artists for her interiors. One of her favourites is the artist Sebastian Jauregui Calderon from Colombia. His paintings can be found in private collections throughout Europe and the USA.
A BACHELOR’S PIED-À-TERRE
Evelyn designed these masculine rooms for photographer Stefan Alfons. As you can imagine, playing with light is also important for a photographer in his private space.
LET’S THROW A PARTY
It is not always houses or flats that need the helping hand of an interior designer. It can also be an event or special occasion that needs professional styling - as here in the case of an elaborate Christmas decoration.
THE SUNRISE CAMPAIGN
This campaign presents Evelyn's outdoor textile collection YALLA YALLA BY EVELYN KASPAR with cushions and upholstery.
Some interior or exterior projects require customised solutions to achieve the perfect result – in this case, the dimensions of the vintage boat.
RIVA – THE LUXURY HOTEL BY THE LAKE
A hotel where you feel at home from the very first moment - that's what Evelyn wanted to achieve when designing the restaurant and guest rooms of the five-star hotel at Lake Constance.
THE JOY OF LIFE CAMPAIGN
Joie de vivre and humour, the designer's life motto and design credo, are expressed in this campaign for EVELYN KASPAR INTERIOR DESIGN.
OUTDOORS AND YET INDOORS
Evelyn gave this sheltered loggia an indoor feel, making this space the family's favourite lounge area.
A VILLA AT LAKE CONSTANCE
In this Wilhelminian-style estate by the lake, which was photographed by Claude Langlois, the aim was to freshen up the rooms and give them a modern touch. The redesign of the house was one of Evelyn's earlier projects and still looks contemporary.
Some clients like clarity in their rooms and still want a cosy atmosphere in their home. It is often the contradictions that give a house that certain something.
DECORATIVE ROLLS
There are few things that can transform a room as impressively as wallpapers. However, the choice of wall covering requires sensitivity and experience in order to create a harmonious overall picture - as here in interiors by Evelyn.
FOR THE LOVE OF BOOKS, ART AND PHOTOGRAPHY
For Evelyn, books and art are like friends that she likes to have around her. That's why she has set up a corner in her living room where she displays her favourite books and a large-format photo by Joachim Baldauf, who also photographs THE NEW COOL for her.
